What to expect

Starting therapy can feel daunting. You might wonder what you’re supposed to say, whether you’ll be judged, or whether what you’re struggling with is even “big enough” to bring to therapy.

I want to make this process as easy for you as possible. I know it can take so much to even press that ‘Get in touch’ button.

I aim to respond to emails, texts and voicemails within 48 hours. If you haven’t heard from me within that time, please feel free to get in touch again.

The first step is simply to get in touch. You can contact me by email, text, phone or through the contact form, and I’ll get back to you using the same method. If you’d like to explore working together, we’ll then arrange an initial online meeting.

Initial meeting

The initial meeting is an opportunity for us to talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for and anything you feel would be useful for me to know. It also gives us both a chance to see whether we feel we’d be a good fit to work together.

The initial meeting is £30 and takes place online. We can discuss your preferred way of working here, so don’t worry if you prefer face-to-face sessions.

If we decide to work together

If we both feel that we’re a good fit and decide to continue, we’ll agree on a regular day and time for your sessions. We’ll also agree whether you’ll be attending in person or online.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually weekly, although we can discuss what works best for you. Therapy can be shorter or longer term, depending on what you’d like to work on, and we’ll review this together as we go.

Sessions are £50.

Where I offer therapy

Face-to-face sessions are available in Leicester city centre and Market Harborough town centre. Both locations are easily accessible by public transport, with bus stops and car parks nearby. I’ll provide the specific address and any information you need about getting there when we arrange your first session.

For online sessions you can be anywhere in the UK.
